Gov. Holcomb Appoints Stephen G. Scofes

INDIANAPOLIS — Governor Eric J. Holcomb today announced several appointments to various state boards and commissions.

Cybersecurity Council

The Governor made one new appointment to the council as a voting member, who will serve at the governor’s pleasure:

  1. Stephen Scofes (Lansing, MI), Partner & CEO of Scofes & Associates Consulting, Inc.

Mr. Scofes has had a distinguished career in the Governmental Affairs arena for over 25 years on the Hill in Washington DC and throughout the U.S in the State Capitals.

 

Mr. Scofes built his successful Governmental Affairs practice to include many Fortune 100 & 500 companies as well as building a practice in the Public Sector Procurement arena which boast one of the largest IT consulting firms in the country.  Along with assisting its clients in the procurement arena, Mr. Scofes recognized the importance of Cyber Security in our country and the effects it has not only on consumers but governments entities and built a Cyber Security practice within its firm to help government entities find the right cyber security solutions to protect its citizens.

 

With offices in Michigan, Indianapolis, Chicago, Austin, and Washington D.C., the Scofes firm has a national reach and offers consulting to many companies from around the globe.

Artificial Intelligence Task Force

The governor made four appointments to the new task force, who will serve until June 30, 2025:

  1. William Barrett (Greenwood), partner with Williams Barrett & Wilkowski, LLP

  2. Doug Hutchinson, captain with the Indiana State Police

  3. Cody Rivers (Zionsville), consulting director with Reveal Risk

  4. Cari Sheehan (Carmel), assistant general counsel with Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP and adjunct professor at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law

 

*Mr. Scofes will also have future input into the AI task force.
